Indivisible Auburn Privacy Policy
Indivisible Auburn CA (“IA”) collects certain personal information from our members and followers to facilitate the mission of the organization. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
IA requires a name and email address from an individual who wishes to receive our communications or become a member. IA requests, but does not require, a phone number and residence address as well. We use this information to enable communications with members and followers regarding events, activities, and information of interest to our community. We may also use this information in an effort to ensure we are sending our communications to individuals who support our mission and efforts.
Phone numbers allow us to send text messages about fast-breaking news and actions. Addresses allow us to know in which jurisdiction (congressional or assembly district) an individual lives, and to tailor our communications accordingly. We do not share or sell any of this personal information to other groups or individuals.
IA also collects information about individuals’ interactions with our email communication, including which links in a message were clicked. We use this information to better understand how effective we are with our communications, and what seems to be of interest to our followers. We also do not share any of this web site interaction information with any other groups or individuals.
