Join us for Unity Center Block Party at the California Museum on Sat., Aug. 26 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm! Highlights include:

• FREE admission to the Unity Center, an all-new exhibition inspiring community activism through interactive exhibits highlighting the state’s rich civil rights history, plus all current exhibits (10:00 am – 4:00 pm)

• Welcome address from Mayor Darrell Steinberg (12:00 pm)

• Civil rights panel discussion with Dolores Huerta of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, Senator Holly Mitchell & Stuart Milk of the Harvey Milk Foundation moderated by Lisa Ling of CNN’s “This is Life with Lisa Ling”* (10:30 – 11:30 am)

• Live music, spoken word & dance performances by Aloha Dancers, DJ Rock Bottom, The Far East Dragon Lion Dance Association, Imbasac, Maquilli Tonatiuh Aztec Dancers, Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus, Sacramento Taiko Dan & Winnemem Wintu Tribe (11:30 am – 4:00 pm)

• Hands-on activism demonstrations & kids’ activities including community mural, screen printing & more (10:00 am – 4:00 pm)

• Food trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster, Flavor Face Mobile Food and Catering, It’s Nacho Truck & Wondering Boba (11:00 am – 4:00 pm)

• Beer garden featuring Bike Dog, Jackrabbit Brewing Company, LLC & Rubicon Brewing Company for attendees 21+ with valid ID (12:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
