Help Register to Vote

May 24, 2017 @ 7:00 am – 12:00 pm

There are three action opportunities in our area that need volunteers.  If you’ve read the article, “100 Ways to Keep Resisting After Trump’s 100th Day,”  you know that #23 is volunteer to help someone register to vote.

The following events in our area need volunteers.  Please check your schedule and see if you can help out on one or more of the days.

Roseville Berry Festival (Voter Registration and Community Outreach)

May 13-14–shifts are 10:00-noon, noon-2:00, 2:00-4:00, 4:00-6:00

Passes to the Fair will be distributed later this week.  If you are already planning on attending or were thinking of attending, please consider volunteering for one of these shifts.  Some parking passes are available, but you can also park at the Democratic HQ, which is within walking distance to the fairgrounds.  Please contact Tomas Vera for more info and to volunteer.  It would be great to have a PWD presence at this event.

Auburn Home Show  (Voter Registration and Community Outreach)

May 19-21–set up on Thursday, May 18

This is another opportunity to represent PWD and help with voter registration efforts. Please contact Paul Comisky for more info and to volunteer.

New Citizens Ceremony (Voter Registration)

May 24 7:00-noon

Meet the newly sworn-in United States citizens and help them exercise that citizenship by registering to vote.  PWD will be assisting at this event and we hope you can join in as well. Please contact Tomas Vera for more info and to volunteer. Tomas is setting up a carpool from Auburn/Roseville.
